With a rich local history we help our residents head out and see museums and places of interest to them. Our salon hairdresser can cut residents hair as well as offering the chance for you to pamper yourself and relax. Residents are supported to continue to enjoy their existing hobbies and are welcome to suggest something new they’d like to try. Following an inspection of in 2019, The Care Quality Commission praised Fitzwilliam House for the ‘outstanding’ care we provide for the people who live here. They said that our team deliver care and support that is exceptionally personalised and responsive to people’s likes, dislikes and preferences. They observed how our team is kind, caring and motivated and people living here, along with their relatives and external professionals described our dedicated team in glowing terms. Nestled within Cottenham, Cambridge, Cottenham Court is a modern care home in a beautiful house and gardens that provides expert residential, nursing, respite and palliative care to the elderly. Cottenham Court's dedicated team and activity coordinators will ensure that care needs are met and activities are always on offer to residents.

All residents appreciate the key things like delicious meals and laundry services. With just 40 bedrooms over two floors, our bright and welcoming care home is small, friendly and accessible. Whilst the location of our home, with open fields and beautiful countryside nearby, is second-to-none, it is our amazing residents and kind and compassionate team, who really make our home outstanding. Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, some features mentioned below may be limited, for example; visiting our care home, as well as some entertainment and events. This is what makes our approach to caring completely person-centred. There were sufficient staff to keep people safe and meet their care and support needs. Staff worked well together in a mutually supportive way and communicated effectively, within the team and with external agencies. Training and supervision systems were in place to provide staff with the knowledge and skills they required to meet people’s needs effectively.
